Shooting Club

North Eastern Sports Shooting Club (NESSCI) is a long-established, member-run sporting club offering safe, accredited ISSF and IPSC shooting in Adelaide’s foothills.

The NESSCI Club is located at 23 Range Road North Upper Hermitage on the corner of North East Road and Range Road North in the foothills overlooking Adelaide, 2 km east of the Tea Tree Gully Hotel.

Our mission: To promote enjoyment of the competitive shooting sports

The 14 ha (30 acre) NESSCI property, which the club owns freehold, is conveniently located in the Adelaide foothills overlooking the city, only 2 km east of the suburb of Tea Tree Gully. The club was established in 1962, and currently has 12 ranges catering for ISSF (Olympic-style) and IPSC (practical-style) events for handgun, rifle and shotgun.

Rifle

NESSCI has a 100 m rifle range with six undercover shooting benches. Targets are placed at the 25, 50 and 100 m earthen berms. The range is certified for .22 rim fire up to 7.62mm (.308 inch) firearms. A shorter 25 m range is also available for rifle events.

Shotgun

Several NESSCI ranges are certified for a variety of shotgun events. A newly completed skeet range provides three firing positions.

Handgun

NESSCI caters for both Olympic (ISSF) and Practical-style (IPSC) handgun matches. The Olympic-style 50 m range accommodates up to 20 competitors undercover, with an electronic target return and pneumatically-driven timed turning targets.
